With four days left in the campaign, we have successfully unlocked SEVEN individual designs! If I can be a bit candid for a moment, I'd like to say that I am so blown away by the support for this project. This was my first ever Backerkit campaign, and the largest project I've done to date! I've definitely learned a thing or two along the way, and have hit a few bumps along the way, and I'm eager to utilize that new knowledge in future projects. But as of right now? I am so blown away and overjoyed with the amount of support I have received. We have raised over $50k for these little fellows. That's nuts! Thank you all SO much!

And now... remember how I said this was my first campaign?

I'll be the first to admit that I've fumbled a few times during this campaign. I decided to go with a different manufacturer than previously planned after having a really successful run with another plushie campaign that recently concluded. Unfortunately, I failed to account for multiple factors such as the holidays scattered throughout this month, which delayed communication and shipping times quite a bit. I had to ship Grimsley's original prototype to my partner factory, and even though I had paid for express shipping (2-3 days,) customs just now released Grimsley. I guess the customs agents wanted to give him a good cuddle before letting him go on his way!

But I digress! Grimsley is now safely with my partner factory, and when he returns to me, he'll be accompanied by six new friends! I have received the news that they're working on getting the new samples completed ASAP. I intend to have the sample images available before surveys go out so everyone can make a more informed decision about which friends they're taking home!

Grimsley is still gummed up in customs but we still have excellent news regardless!

Mumble is unlocked with 50k! Thank you so very much for all the support! Next up on the docket? Gruff: our resident sweet tooth!

Mishmash’s rough prototype came through this evening, and he’s looking very  cute! I’ll be making just a couple tweaks to the strap placement before we send him off for his embroideries! (Paper is often used for placement purposes on rough drafts!) I think with his size, he would benefit from a side strap so you can carry him on your hip!

Hello everybunny! We are less than $3k away from $50k! And you know what that means! Mumble is SO close to joining the crew! This Hurtsie will feature an extra long bandage so you can wrap him up nice and snug like a lil mummy! I designed Mumble as a nod to the good ol' emo days. Did anyone else spend most of their childhood drawing sad pixel wolves on oekaki boards?


I'm in the progress of adding more add-ons for this campaign! I'll be offering frosted acrylic charms of all of the unlocked Hurtsies so far. (I've finished Mumble preemptively too.) My kid just got off of fall break, so I'm ready to go full throttle with adding on extra goodies for this campaign. You can also now purchase up to 9 Hurtsies, plus an extra in the add-on shop! (As a reminder, your payment won't be processed until after the campaign ends, so you can change your pledge at any time from now until then!)


Moving on, we have received a LOT of inquires about EU shipping! We now ship to the entirety of the EU. Just keep in mind that international customers are responsible for any fees that may incur at customs. We are still unable to ship to UK at this time, but if we find a solution, we will post another update!

Lastly, an update on the samples! I have been working on the Hurtsies for a year now, and have decided to work with my current plush factory (who have produced my Dollop and Trouble Bun plushies) to fulfill this product! Due to the Chinese holiday and the recent holiday weekend, the original sample is still in transit to my factory. Once it arrives, the samples will begin rolling in! 

In the meanwhile, we are currently working on Mishmash's sample since their floppy lil body is slightly different from the other Hurtsies! I've included the manufacturing guides below as exclusive content for backers! Which sample are you the most excited to see?

With this last addition of stretch goals, we’re really aiming high! I’ll be honest: I didn’t think we would make it so far! I am feeling so lucky that this project has garnered so much excitement. I have sooo many ideas for add-ons, and I’ll keep adding them as the days stretch on to keep things fresh.
